Just five minutes from the resort, Deer Track North in Surfside Beach is huge. This Porter Gibson design, open since 1974, measures almost 7,200 yards and gets right to the point. Number one is a Par 5 measuring a whopping 549 yards off the blue tees. And the course ends on a similar theme. Number 18 is a 524 yard Par 5 with three lakes, two traps fronting the green and a canyon-like fairway. Average players can score well here. |
