Hit it straight, or prepare to hit your sand wedge. While it says Carolina Shores on the sign, regulars refer to this 1974 design 60 minutes north of the resort as "Carolina Sands." It's no wonder. There are 90 sand traps to avoid on this 6,783 yard layout, which also has 10 lakes. It took 1,000 tons of sand just to fill the traps on Number 13. |
